Wexford Family Portraits: Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!

There’s so much to love about this recent session in Wexford.  The colors, the season, and the love for this little guy who just turned one.  We visited a local orchard and let this little fella explore.  And if he could talk in complete sentences, I think he’d say that life is good!

Pittsburgh Family Portraits: Succop Conservancy

This fun session with a family of five happened earlier in the spring at the charming Succop Conservancy.  With it’s lakes, Mansion, and barn, this park is packed with a variety of scenery.  We scheduled this session early on a Saturday morning for better lighting, plus it seems most families with young children are up early anyway!

Pittsburgh Wedding Photography: Essential Coverage for Simple Weddings

It can be tricky for brides and grooms to know just how long they’ll need a photographer on their wedding day.  Or a second shooter for that matter.  Of course there’s no right answer as it largely depends on the couple’s desires, but when there is uncertainty, I like to suggest a few considerations to help in making that decision. Also, I’m pleased to share some highlights from this beautiful wedding which was captured in just six hours.

Pittsburgh Children’s and Family Photography: A Sweet Narrative

It’s funny how sharing new work is the last thing on my list when I’m busy.  But I’ve been blessed with a busy spring and summer and after sharing the joys of photographing a lovely wedding last month, I’d like to share one of my favorite things to photograph.  This family portrait session marks the first birthday of this proud mom and dad. I love how in just an hour of photographing this family on a bright and early morning, there is a sweet narrative of interactions between these parents and their daughter.

Pittsburgh Wedding Photography: Oak Lodge

So good to kick off this season with this lovely wedding at Oak Lodge, in the gorgeous Laurel Highlands, just outside of Pittsburgh.  I could tell this couple would be so sweet to photograph during the engagement session.  They opted to do a first look so that they could enjoy their cocktail hour with friends and family.  And with the breath-taking setting of Church Rock, overlooking the valley below Oak Lodge, this first look was incredible!
