Our Process
In eight simple steps
1: Discovery Call or Text
We’ll take 10-minutes to get to learn about what you’re envisioning as well as answer any questions you might have.
Please fill out my contact form and I’ll be in touch soon.
2: Book Your Session
When you decide you’re ready to get started, sign the booking proposal to reserve your session.
You can pay your session fee online or mail a check
3: Getting to Know You
Fill out our questionnaire to plan your session.
We’ll use this info to prepare for your photoshoot.
4: Welcome Packet Mailed
We’ll mail a welcome packet to your home.
So you’ll have everything you need to know for your session.
5: Photoshoot Day
Plan to arrive to the studio or the designated location 10 minutes prior to your session.
We’ll work together to create something beautiful.
6: Photo Reveal
We’ll project a highlights reel on the big screen and share mock-ups or artwork with your images.
Then, you’ll get to choose the images we retouch for your session.
7: Artwork Delivered
Retouched selections are emailed in a downloadable gallery within two weeks from your photo reveal.
Artwork ordered during your photo reveal is ready for pick-up within 4 weeks.
8: Enjoy Your Artwork
Seeing your artwork on display is the best way to enjoy your photos every day.
We incentivize this by including an additional retouched digital file for every $50 spent.
Meet the Photographer
Kate Miller has been photographing babies and families in Pittsburgh for 16 years and has had her own studio in Cranberry for two years. During her free time, she enjoys trying new recipes, walking her Sheepadoodle, and going on adventures with her family.

Newborn sessions are best scheduled during your second trimester. This will allow enough time for us to learn about what you’re envisioning and plan your session. Once your session is booked, we send out a welcome packet with all of the information you’ll want to know going into your session. We can also accommodate sessions for babies who are already born, but scheduling early is recommended.
Captivating Imagery is set apart by Kate’s commitment to personally meeting with families following the session. During this time, she helps with narrowing down selections and taking detailed retouching notes so that you can have the best possible images. Becoming a mom is not for the faint of heart. And there is an amazing program in our area that can help empower you through the journey: Connected Nest It’s a community support for those on the journey to, through and beyond parenthood with programs like Facing Fertility, Empowering Moms, and Equipping Parents. I know I benefited from having other moms in my life to relate with and go to when I felt unsure and concerned. The Connected Nest has local groups that meet, connecting moms and building much-needed community.
Another program I highly recommend, is Nurture Program This non-profit provides the Nurture Program to moms following the birth of their baby to connect them with the information and resources they need – exactly when they need it through private, one-on-one text conversations between mentors and moms.
