Hi! My name is Kate Miller and I am a Pittsburgh Pa photographer
I started Captivating Imagery in 2008 with a primary focus on weddings. Over the years, the business has grown to offer maternity, newborn, family and senior portraits as well as headshots and commercial photography. In 2022, we opened our studio in Cranberry Township and in 2024, expanded the business with a team of associates (meet our team below). Awards include Wedding Wire’s Bride’s Choice Award (2012), Best Newborn Photographers on Expertise (since 2016) and Best Photographer Gold Award from the Cranberry Eagle Readers’ Choice Awards (since 2022).
My passion for helping families preserve their memories has led to a full-service approach where I meet with clients following their session and help them with selecting the photos to be retouched (and take detailed retouching notes!) And because I believe tangible artwork is essential to preserving our memories, I offer wall art, heirloom albums and linen keepsake boxes with fine art prints.

As a mom, I remember how much it meant for me to have just one good photo of my kids. And now that we’re over a decade out from bringing our babies home, I am so thankful for our photo albums and the framed prints on our walls. And do you know what, if I could go back, I would have done more! When I look at the artwork on our walls, I remember the sweetness of it all and am reminded of how far we’ve come. I love that I get to do the same for other families as a Pittsburgh Pa photographer.
My own family experience deeply impacts my process as a photographer. Being a people-person, I am attentive to how others are feeling and good at helping my clients feel comfortable. The word patient often shows up in my Google reviews. Because I care so much about how others feel, I won’t be satisfied until I create something meaningful. And I couldn’t ask for anything more when my clients recognize this passion and commitment.

Our Team
Pamela, associate photographer, brings her expertise as a newborn and family photographer from Veracruz, Mexico. Pamela is wonderful at connecting with kids and a true baby whisperer! Newborn sessions are her favorite type of session to shoot.
Julie, retoucher, with a keen eye for detail and high standards for processing and retouching. Julie values natural retouching and is the type of photo editor who needs to set a timer, otherwise she’ll get lost in a photo as she seeks that balance between natural and perfection!
Alex has over 35 years in experience as a photographer and started photographing weddings with Captivating Imagery in 2009. He’s an expert in the craft and has photographed several hundred weddings including high-profile Pittsburgh weddings.
