Cranberry Newborn Session: All Dressed Up And No Where to Go

I’m a sucker for baby boys all dressed up. I guess that comes from being a boy mom and wanting to have fun dressing my babies in tiny suspenders and wingtip shoes. So when this family dressed to match their little man, I felt a kinship and knew we’d have a lot of fun during their session.

Pittsburgh Newborn Portraits: Empowering Moms

My dear friend let me know she was expecting and for the months that followed, my mind kept visualizing how I’d photograph her baby boy. She’s an artist, so I’m sure she knows I what I’m talking about and how when I show up, open to capturing all of the sweet moments that unfold, that I still have some ideas in the back of my mind, influencing the way I photograph the session. Most of all, I wanted to celebrate my friend, as someone I’ve gone to for advice, trusted for guidance and benefited from her encouragement.

Pittsburgh Newborn Sessions: Some Perspective on Scheduling

It’s been a pleasure to photograph this sweet family over the last four years. And when their daughter was born, I honestly couldn’t wait to photograph her newborn session!

Pittsburgh Newborn Portraits: Autumn in the North Hills

This newborn portrait session took place in October at the family’s home in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. We started in the nursery where the family dog joined in the fun.

Pittsburgh Newborn Portraits: Moments Filled with Love

I’ve been fortunate to photograph many newborns and their doting parents over the years. And I’ve found that no newborn session is the same. Each new baby is remarkable and each parent was created to nurture, protect, and provide for their child.  It is a beautiful relationship and I feel so honored to document that.
