Pittsburgh Newborn: Natural Light Lifestyle
I’m often asked when parents schedule a session if I’ll need to see their home before the session. And while it’s good to know if the home is facing North, South, East, or West, so I know the direction the light will be coming through the windows, I don’t visit homes before the shoot. When I arrive, I ask to take a look at the areas the family would like to be photographed in while the baby is being fed and then decide whether or not I’ll need to supplement the light and where we’ll start. This was a bright sunny morning with sunlight coming in from the front of this south-east facing home. And the light just flooded the nursery with gorgeous light.
It’s sweet to this new mom and dad working so well together – love these everyday moments.
We moved to mom and dad’s room for a family portrait on the bed.
Sweet kisses from mama.
Love this mother/son portrait.
Look how cute this little guy is sleeping with his mouth open!
Here’s a favorite shot of mine. Love showing the parents watching their baby from overhead.
And I have to say, this little guy sleeped so sweetly through most of the session. Anytime he woke up, he could hardly keep his eyes open for long. What a perfect day for baby cuddles!
Blessings to you, sweet family! Congratulations on your baby boy!
