Family Photography Session: Cranberry, PA

This recent family photography session took place at my friend’s home in Cranberry, PA. It was one of those moments that caused us both to stop and think about God’s goodness. We met at church six years ago and we were surprised to learn that we lived on the same street in Bellevue. That summer, we spent many afternoons on my front porch while the kids played in the yard. My youngest was a baby, so we naturally talked a lot about the stuff of motherhood. Many laughs and some tears were shared on blazing hot days and in thunderstorms.

We both ended up moving to Cranberry within a year of each other and while my friend has added another son to her family, we’re both in a different phase of motherhood. And I think we both agree, it just keeps getting better and better.

This family was last photographed shortly after their youngest was born. And this session was a special birthday gift to my friend from her husband. Here she is looking beautiful in a formal gown that she brought from Nigeria.

It was a rainy weekend and she wanted to make it happen rain or shine. We took a few shots outside and then I photographed them in and around their home, a nice way for her to share her home with her family back in Nigeria.

After the Session

We met again for a photo reveal after the session where I shared a slide show, sample wall art and albums. My friend selected her favorites and decided to order a Double Stacked Standout Triptych. Here’s some behind-the-scenes footage of the delivery and installation of her wall art.

For lightweight wall art like our Standouts, 3M picture hangers are a painless way to quickly get your artwork up on the walls. Here’s the finished product and while I’m biased, I can’t help but say, this is one good-looking family!

If you’d like to update your family portrait, I’d love to hear from you!
