Most of my clients have young children and a few have tweens, and every now and then, I get to photograph a family with teenagers, which is such a treat! The mom of this family was smart in that when she scheduled her oldest daughter’s senior portraits (which I will share later this week), she also booked a family portrait. They even took place on the same day, an early morning session and an early evening session, for the best lighting. I really like this kind of thinking, this is a mom who was making it happen!
This session involved a hike through McConnell’s Mill State Park and it was worth all of the steps up this steep hillside for the gorgeous fall scenery.
This family loves the outdoors and we were blessed to have had this session scheduled at the peak of fall foliage. That is tricky to do because it is tough to predict when the foliage will peak each year.
I’m so glad this family decided to update their portraits. I don’t have teenagers of my own, but I understand from other families that I know that scheduling with teens can be crazy. But time flies and this is an equally important chapter in this family’s story. If you are thinking about updating your family portrait, I’d love to hear from you! Take a note from this mom and make it happen!
