We started with this session celebrating an upcoming 2nd birthday on a lovely morning in Cranberry. It was a bit cold for this little sweetie, so after about 30 minutes, we headed to the studio and most of my favorites from this session took place there! But for now, here’s a family portrait from one of my favorite Cranberry locations.
Natural Light in the Studio
She really warmed up inside and we had a lot of fun! I think the outtakes of her having a quick snack and looking from between her parents legs capture two-years old so perfectly. And my favorites are the shots by the window!
We did a few photos by the Christmas tree too. The difference in her countenance from the beginning of the session is huge. Sometimes it takes a while for kids to warm up, and coming in from the cold didn’t hurt!
It is a joy photographing families and I’m so glad this family came to me for their first family portrait. It’s an investment that will never loose it’s value, quite the opposite, actually! The other day I was looking at some framed prints of my boys when they were little and am so glad I have their sweet faces where I can see them everyday. If you would like to capture a special milestone or update your family portrait, I’d love to hear from you!
