Staying at home for your newborn session is nice, but going to a natural light studio that is outfitted with all of the comforts of home might be better. This Pittsburgh mom and dad thought so and as a photographer I whole-heartedly agree. They even brought their dog to be included in some of the photos!
With the heat turned up high, this baby girl was dozy through most of the session. She didn’t stir a bit when her big brother Golden Retriever zoomed back and forth the studio in excitement. And the cozy swaddles probably helped too, but I think she’ll be a sound sleeper!
She smiled several times while dreaming and this image of her on the tiny bed with her hands tucked under her chin has me smiling back!
We began the session with a lifestyle approach and then shifted the last part of the session to posed portraits of just her. During the photo reveal, this last shot was a crowd favorite. We all loved how her arms are hanging over the edge of the basket. I’m sure this will be one of many photos captured of this sweet baby girl sleeping in funny positions. I remember taking photos of the baby monitor camera when my boys were babies!
