I’m opening a Cranberry photography studio. It’s been such a blessing over the past few weeks to see this long-time dream come to life. Now, I can offer my clients this beautiful location as an option for their sessions. And I have a dedicated meeting space for consultations and photo reveals. There are so many reasons that I’m excited about this, but if I had to pick one, it’s that I have a place that reflects the experience I provide for my clients.
This gorgeous space has an abundance of natural light which is soft and lovely in the mornings and more pronounced in the afternoon and into the evening. I photographed the last part of a first birthday portrait session there last week. It was so wonderful to shoot there. Their son loved crawling across the room and I could capture him the whole way thanks to the wall of windows along the length of the room. His parents were overjoyed to see his excitement as he scuttled by. And I was overjoyed at the ability to capture it!
And a few days later, I photographed this maternity session and am so looking forward to photographing a newborn session in studio.
Pinch Me, I’m Dreaming!
I’ve been dreaming about what this would be like for over a decade and now I have to hold back my excitement, or I might burst! Whether you’re planning for a session at home, a nearby park, or in our studio, we start with a consultation at the studio to discuss all of the possibilities and share sample artwork to offer some inspiration in planning your session.
This Cranberry photography studio makes for a wonderful location for any session: maternity, newborn, first birthday, family, or senior portraits. With an abundance of natural light, or studio strobes, there are unlimited possibilities for beautiful lighting. The white brick wall or the white shadow box wall provide understated neutral backdrops. The studio is also equipped with a selection of backdrops, seating and props for more variety.
This quiet setting with minimal distractions offers a low-stress option for families with newborns or young children. A white bed and linens as well as a white crib offer the same photo opportunities as an in-home newborn session. The dressing room has a rocker and changing table as well.
After the session, we meet again at the studio for a photo reveal with a slideshow of highlights and mock-ups of wall art and album designs featuring images from your session. Then I help with narrowing down selections so that you can decide the best way to display your artwork.
