We were waiting for this snow for this Cranberry senior portrait session. The winter in Cranberry started off slow, but really kicked into gear over the last few weeks, so we seized the opportunity. And as I was driving to our first location, I have to be honest, I wasn’t sure going out in a snow storm was a great idea. But then while we were shooting, I knew, it was so worth it!
My love for photographing in the snow started with my boys. We’d always go out on the first snow day and I’d capture them at play. But now, to have someone actually want me to photograph them in the snow, that is a delight, because my boys saw me photographing them as more of an interruption to their fun.
We couldn’t spend the whole session outside because this guy was freezing! So we headed over to the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. They gave me permission to photograph in the lobby which has lots of gorgeous natural light.
I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity for winter senior sessions this year. And will share a winter engagement session next week. If you want to capture your next session in the snow, I’d love to help you with that. I am keeping a waiting list and we may even have a few more opportunities before this winter is over! Please get in touch to be added to the list!
