I’ve noticed a bit of a trend toward large family portraits this year. It must be related to families being apart during the pandemic. And these families have inspired me to capture our extended family as well. It is so meaningful to see everyone together, especially after these past two years.
Now, as a photographer, adding more people can complicate things. It’s easier for distractions which makes it tougher to get every looking pleasantly at the camera. One of the benefits in my full service sessions, is the ability to do a face swap in situations where there’s just one person who wasn’t looking/smiling but everyone else looks great! This family didn’t need that, but it’s always good to know for the larger family portraits.
