Charleston, SC Destination Wedding Photography
Most of my weddings take place in Pittsburgh, but I love to travel, so traveling to photograph a destination wedding is such a treat! Courtney and Matt were married in Charleston, South Carolina (see sneak peek here) at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina. And it was such a lovely day at a gorgeous location with lots of fabulous details! I think that’s probably a run-on sentence, but my grammar falls by the wayside when I get excited about something.
Courtney’s uncle and mom are florists—I often rave about the work that Joanne does because we get to work on a lot of weddings together. And teamed up with her brother, the flowers at this wedding were absolutely amazing!
Courtney had lots of lanterns which were lit at night and gave this outside venue such a warm glow.
The ceremony took place on the resort’s pier, overlooking Charleston Harbor. And it was just beautiful!
Here’s a photo of Courtney and her sister, Carissa. This family was clearly blessed with good looks!
I didn’t get to post a photo of the flower girl and ring bearer before, but they are so adorable! They weren’t sure what the family portraits were all about, but they did a good job of sticking with us!
We did a few photos of the bridal party on the beach and the bridesmaids left their shoes on the sidewalk.
My husband and I went on a mission trip with Courtney and Matt to Mexico last year. And over the week, I noticed that Matt is pretty camera-shy. So glad he didn’t let that get in the way for this shot!
The rain held off for the ceremony and for most of the time allotted for portraits. Luckily, this patio was not far from where we were standing when the skies opened up.
We took a trolley from the hotel to the pavilion where their reception was held. And they did their first dance right after they were announced. So sweet!
The pavilion glowed with warmth and laughter well into the night. What a wonderful wedding!
Thanks again for a wonderful day, Courtney and Matt!
