Evette and Jordan’s Pittsburgh Wedding Photography
Evette and Jordan were married at Evette’s family home near Raccoon Creek State Park, about a 30-minute drive from Pittsburgh. We were tucked away on top of a wooded hill just outside of the park. It was such an intimate setting that it was easy to forget about the outside world. You might remember Evette from an earlier post on her studio bridal session. It was such a treat to photograph her wedding after spending some time with her at the studio. I’m crazy about her dress and it was a great indicator of the exquisite details to come at the wedding.
Evette and her bridesmaids had their hair done at Pageboy Salon and Boutique in Lawrenceville.
And Amber Altany did Evette’s make-up.
Meahwhile, Jordan and the guys were hanging out at his parent’s home in Center Township.
There was a lovely hill in their back yard and the sky offered the perfect lighting for some portraits. Here’s Jordan, all ready to go.
Their ceremony was held outside in a tree-lined opening atop the hill.
After the ceremony, we spent some time photographing the happy couple while their guests headed on to the reception. Here are a few favorites:
We brought the chaise lounge in for some of their portraits. And that meant carrying it up the steep hill. With all of the heavy lifting that comes with this job, I should have some bulging arm muscles. I’m still a weakling, but it’s so worth it. Plus Evette and Jordan enjoyed a chance to sit and relax while they were being photographed.
We ducked into the woods for a change of scenery.
And here are a few on-location bridal portraits of the lovely Evette.
I think this is my all-time favorite of the day. They’re so sweet and snugly with one another.
The details at their reception were terrific. It was such a pleasant celebration—even the weather cooperated!
In addition to the traditional reception events like the toasts, first dance, and cake cutting, Evette’s dad wowed their wedding guests with a fireworks show. It was a spectacular end to a fantastic wedding.
Congratulations Evette and Jordan! Many blessings to you!
