Betsy and Steve’s wedding
Betsy and Steve were married at Kurtz’s Beach on the Chesapeake Bay. I have to reveal that Bets is my beautiful sister and I couldn’t help but bring my camera to take some photos when I had a few minutes here and there.
Here are a few shots that I got between assisting my sister as maid of honor.
This was Betsy’s version of something old, new, borrowed and blue. The British pound taped to her shoe is a good luck charm.
Betsy’s colors were aqua and other shades of blue. I love the seashells in her bouquet.
Her dress was light and beautiful. The bodice sparkled and the train flowed in the wind as she walked down the aisle.
She only has eye shadow on in this photo. Isn’t her skin flawless?
I remember when she used to wear pigtails and now she’s this beautiful bride.
Here’s a sweet moment while she’s leaning over her bathroom countertop and talking to another bridesmaid.
Betsy and Steve are great dancers. When they were announced at the reception they danced their way onto the dance floor and the guests went wild. Here’s a much more subdued first dance.
Their cake was delicious—best I ever had—with European butter cream icing and raspberry ganache. They used smaller cakes as centerpieces at each of the tables and those cakes had white chocolate seashells with a blue marbled pattern—perfect for the seashore theme.
Betsy and Steve had a candy table in lieu of Pittsburgh’s traditional cookie table. The candies were all in blue hues and guests lined up to fill their bags.
And lastly, here is a quick photo of Betsy on the terrace. The purple sunset made a beautiful backdrop and I added a little texture for some fun. The day flew by and the happy couple went off to honeymoon in Aruba.
